Manages all accounting practices for the plant; conducts the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast processes for the plant.
Works with the BU Controller to apply consistent accounting practices to the plant, participates in the business as a member of the plant leadership team.
Manages the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process for the plant, including general ledger and subsidiary financial ledgers.
Provides appropriate resources for internal and external financial and process audits.
Implements recommended changes to accounting practices.
Coordinates financial modeling of quotation packages.
Develops and presents reports and analyses to the Plant Manager.
Leads efforts to comply with any governmental or regulatory organization financial requirements of the plant.
Leads the capital management process at the plant level.
Provides business support for the plant in terms of product costing, accounts receivable, inventory control and payroll.
Coaches and mentors all plant general accounting, cost accounting, and finance staff; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred.
Experience
Significant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience in a small-operations manufacturing environment.
- Reporting to the DBU Finance Director, responsible for overseeing the Finance function in Cummins Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, and CI driving functional excellence in all areas of finance as per the key responsibilities
- Directly manages and guides Morocco, Ghana, Senegal, and CI Finance team and actively mentors, coaches and sets performance expectations with direct reports aligning team objectives with country level and ABO wide goals.
- Partners with business leaders, functional finance leaders and stakeholders to establish an finance function in region ensuring compliance with the company’s policies and procedures and local legislative requirements.
- When required ensures all operational Finance tasks are completed in line with company policies and procedures
- Maintain strong control environment through business cycles cycles that results in improved audit grades
- Timely filings of Statutory Accounts and Tax Returns (Globally)
- Support critical business initiatives
- Improve short term and long term financial projection accuracy
- Implement a standardized Cash Flow Forecast tool to improve the management of working capital in the AME region
- Mitigate FX exposure through Net Monetary Asset containment.
