Job Description:

1. Coordinate the design, implementation and monitoring of cluster interventions

  • Ensure compliance of the monitoring and evaluation system with the processes and guidelines of WV.
  • Develop/refine tools for indicator performance tracking
  • Carry out regular monitoring visits (joint or DME monitoring visits) to the field to ensure the rapid and efficient implementation of the program vis-à-vis approved plans. Field reports, training evaluations, etc.

2. Oversee and ensure the quality of cluster data

  • Develop/refine SOPs and data flow charts to ensure quality programming and implementation.
  • Ensure that cluster program staff are trained on these SOPs and data flow charts and have them as a copy that they refer to regularly
  • Ensure the quality of the performance indicator levels on the program by conducting, on a periodic basis data quality assessments (through monthly and quarterly data verification exercises).  
  • Conduct monthly data quality checks, followed by a report. 
  • Conduct routine data quality reviews with cluster staff.
  • Ensure regular communication with cluster program staff and ensure that all program management reports are of high quality, respecting timeliness, accuracy and availability of required supporting documents.

3. Coordinate the preparation of required cluster reports to WVL

  • Coordinate preparation and submission of cluster reports – monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual.
  • Ensure that the lessons learned in the recommendations for improvement incorporated in the program management reports are implemented by the field officers.
  •  Develop action plans for relevant cluster staff members which will then be monitored to ensure that feedback is incorporated.

4. Contribute to WVL program impact

  • Periodically conduct intentional learning and reflection sessions to ensure program quality, impact and sustainability. This is through meetings intentional on data review.
  • Contribute to knowledge through research to interrogate on lessons learned, experiences and data generated by program implementation while making strong contributions to cluster knowledge networks and communities of practice.
  • Participate in the National Office and South African Regional Office initiatives,

5. Support project baselines and evaluations

  • Contribute to the development of TOR for external evaluations (End of Project), Internal Mini-surveys
  • Support Data Collection processes and enumerators supervision during evaluations
  • Facilitate implementation of recommendations from surveys or case studies conducted.

6. Qualification and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, and other related social sciences fields.
  • At least 3 years of experience in program management and implementation of multispectral projects
  • Good knowledge of project monitoring and evaluation, Logical framework and detailed implementation plan.
  • Have knowledge of livelihoods interventions at micro and macro levels
  • Have a very good experience with the Grants of donors.

Work environment: Office-based with travel to the field
