Job Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1.        Ensure that all 02 or more Area Programme (AP) yearly planning and budgeting process is done in a participatory and inclusive approach with all partners (Government, Churches, local NGO, CBO….) for quality and sustainable development.    15%
2.        Coordinate properly and timely implementation and monitoring of GIK, development and grants programs/projects within the AP as indicated in detailed implementation plans (DIPs),  budgets and other planning documents.    15%
3.        Oversee evaluation and baseline processes of the APs following WV Lesotho Programme Office and WVI standards, tools and guidance.    5%
4.        Enforce stewardship and accountability by ensuring that financial and material resources are efficiently and effectively utilized following WV Lesotho programme Office related policies and procedures within the programmes areas for the intended purpose.    10%
5.        Facilitate integration and implementation of transition plans, disaster preparedness plans and development of local institutions (CBOs, FBOs, District Assembly, Municipal Council, State Services….) of the 02 or more areas of programme for sustainable development.    5%
6.        Ensure that sponsorship and child protection standards are adhered to and they are adequately integrated into programming for community transformation.    10%
7.        Ensure staff capacity & skills development and performance management (including timely review and performance appraisal) in the AP.    5%

8.        Facilitate and strengthen networking relationships with government, church, faith based organization leaders and other key partners and assure WV Lesotho Programme Office representation to the Districts Assemblies and Services within the 02 or more areas of programmes.    10%
9.        Prepare and submit quality and timely monthly, quarterly, bi –annual and annual APs narrative and financial reports as well as semiannual and annual CWBT reports for each of the 02 or more APs.    15%
10.        Ensure that audit recommendations are timely responded to, fully implemented and progress is reported quarterly to Head Office Audit Manage through the Senior Regional Operations Manager and the Integrated Programmes Operations Director.    10%

Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

•    Educational level required:  BA/Bsc Degree in Economics, Agriculture, Business administration, Development studies/planning, Social Science or other related field.
•    Technical Training qualifications required:  Professional technical skill desired in atleast one of the following: Health, Livelihood or WASH)
•    3 years’ experience in program/project Management and Implementation
•    Working experience in community development is preferred.

Working Environment / Conditions:

•    Work environment:  Office-based with frequent travel to the field
•    Travel:  10% Domestic/international travel is required.
•    On call:  10%
