Close-up Photographer of the Year 2022

22

Deadline

12 June 2022
Who may enter
The competition is open to all professional and amateur photographers of any nationality.
Details
The competition is organized by Tracy Calder and Daniel Calder.

All images entered in the competition should be close-up, macro or taken with a microscope.

Any image that shows the subject closer and in greater detail than would be seen with the naked eye is counted as a close-up photograph and can be entered in the competition.

‘Close-up’ is the spirit of the competition, but not its definition. We aim to show small flora and fauna in the wider environment and slightly wider details of the landscape around us as well as scaling in to macro, extreme macro and then to the microscopic. If you look at the past winners galleries you will get a good idea of where the limits lie.

Entrants aged 18 or over can enter the following 10 categories:
Animals
Insects
Butterflies & Dragonflies
Underwater
Plants
Fungi

Intimate Landscape
Manmade
Micro

Entrants aged 17 or under should enter Young CUPOTY.
