LOCATION
Location: Kenilworth, Cape Town (this position can be negotiated as a remote position but will be largely dependant on 1. connectivity at home and 2. ability to work from the office should there be loadshedding)

WORKING HOURS
3 days per week (8am to 5pm) and 1 weekend per month (Sat and Sun 8am to 1pm) {with the option to increase days depending on workload volumes}
Inherent requirements of the position:
South African Nursing Council Registration up to date at all times
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Multi-tasking and ability to adapt well in a changing environment.
Computer literate in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Multi-language skills with African languages an advantage
Basic Clinical knowledge of conditions commonly seen in clinical practice.
Previous counselling experience.
Good communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and great level of accuracy.
Ability to cope in highly pressurized environment.
Target driven.
Previous corporate experience advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Understand implicitly the confidential nature of data and patient management.
Adherance to all internal and external policies on data handling, processing, sharing and security.
Know and understand the client scheme/company rules and regulations, as well as the CareWorks treatment and monitoring protocols which are updated from time to time.
Understand the Patient Management Coordinator (PMC) processes and provide clinical support to the PMCs.
Will be required to conduct telephonic COVID-19 consults, triaging and follow ups. This includes history taking, providing appropriate and relevant health education, providing psychosocial and clinical counselling, support to clients and family (grief counselling)
Receive and accurately capture patient information to the system.
Collate patient records and assess the clinical status and stage of a patient.
Determine plan of treatment related to doctor consultations, counselling services, pathology monitoring, and pharmacology regimes within the scope of CW protocols. Ensure that the service recommended/authorised is appropriate and within the protocols defined from time to time.
Setting reminder tasks for PMCs, Counsellors, other team members including the Medical advisor in order to complete the patient management protocols.
Telephonic/Telefax/e-mail interaction with patients, service providers and advisors to ensure completion of tasks in the patient management process, as defined in the protocols from time to time.
Be available to discuss any clinical issues with treating doctors and refer to Medical Advisor if necessary.
Ensuring that the necessary clinical information is collated in each case and is complete for review by the Medical Advisor for efficient review and recommendation.
Assisting the Medical Advisor in collating the necessary clinical information required for reporting purposes.
Call centre support regarding clinical and management process questions.
The nurse may be required to assist other clinical team members in other programmes
Any other reasonable company related requests made by senior management.
General office administration duties as and when required
