The Government of Lesotho through the Lesotho Millennium Development Agency (LMDA) is looking for highly qualified professionals with specialised skills to support the Health Facilities Maintenance Programme. JOB SUMMARY:
To supervise furniture maintenance projects at his/her designated facilities. The objective of the position is to represent LMDA supervision management on site, guiding contractors in implementing the maintenance programmes. Activities of the Site Agent will include inspection, quality assessment, and site coordination, approval of contractors’ performance under his /her authority, and reporting following the LMDA guidelines.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
KPA 1: Site Supervision of Furniture Maintenance Services
KPA 2: Site Projects Quality Monitoring
KPA 3: Works Inspection and Performance Assessment KPA 4: Projects Site Coordination
KPA 5: Works Performance Reporting
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee is required to closely supervise and monitor maintenance contractors on furniture, representing LMDA.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent from a recognized institution; and minimum of 5 years’ experience in dealing with maintenance projects for furniture, medical and general equipment including site management and supervision of contractors; 5 years’ experience in site coordination and risk assessment; 3 years’ experience in approval of technical aspects of the furniture maintenance equipment works; and 5 years’ experience in formal reporting of site progress and performance.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Design software, Drafting software, Project Management software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
The incumbent must have at least two (2) years Valid Driver’s Licence; Experience of driving in the highlands AND Defensive driving certificate.
