In this position you will join our Leadership Client Team, where you will play an integral part in providing leadership as Client Director to Aurecon clients in the Africa Built Environment portfolio. With the focus on client facing leadership, you will play a key role in building and growing Aurecon’s Built Environment business for our focus clients while also being a key contributor to Aurecon’s broader Built Environment growth strategy across Africa. You will also be a member of Aurecon’s Global Built Environment Leadership Team with a shared responsibility of formulating our global positioning and strategies.

- Client and Market Leadership – leading and accountability of all client activity in the portfolio including building relationships, understanding client drivers, taking ideas to clients
- People and Project Leadership – leading and coaching relevant Client Managers in the execution of client strategies, relationship building and their leadership of Client Engagement teams, and taking leadership and governance roles on the most important projects in portfolio
- Client Management – leading by example by taking on the Client Manager role for a select number of critical clients relevant to the market success
- Pursuit and Proposal Leadership – taking leadership roles on the most important pursuits and proposals within client portfolio
- Strategic Initiatives – responsible for the implementation and execution of our global built environment strategies into the Africa region
We know today’s complex challenges can only be solved through bringing together diverse teams of people from across our business, so there will be opportunities for you to apply your skills and creativity to projects in other geographies and markets.
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imaging engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant tertiary qualification and technical post tertiary qualification, with a minimum of 20 year’s built environment experience either in engineering, construction or professional services, with a career built on extensive experience in South Africa and across rest of Africa.
