Vacancy: Cleaner
Introduction
The Persons with Disability Advisory Council is seeking to hire a Cleaner to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and a presentable environment within its premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining office spaces, meeting rooms, restrooms, and other designated areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and other areas daily
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and surfaces regularly
- Dispose of waste materials appropriately and ensure proper waste segregation
- Replenish bathroom supplies (soap, toilet paper, hand towels)
- Clean windows, doors, and walls
- Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
- Report any maintenance or repair needs
- Assist with meeting room setup and post-event cleaning
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a Junior Certificate or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of experience in cleaning or housekeeping
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in a disability-supporting organization is an added advantage

Contract Duration
This is a contract position, renewable based on performance and availability of funds.
Reporting Line
The Cleaner will report to the Administrative Officer or a designated supervisor within the Council.
