JOB SUMMARY
The Classroom Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality classroom instruction that ensures learners acquire the skills and knowledge required under the national curriculum, in line with the Education Policy and global education standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching
- Deliver outstanding and engaging lessons in the assigned learning areas.
- Prepare and implement well-structured lesson plans and teaching aids.
- Take a leadership role in curriculum development within subject areas.
- Assess, evaluate, and report on learners’ academic progress.
- Develop and produce effective teaching and learning materials.
- Mentor and support junior teachers.
Student Support
- Provide guidance, counselling, and psychosocial support to learners.
- Maintain accurate class registers and learner records.
- Meet with parents to discuss learners’ performance and behavior.
- Promote discipline, positive behavior, and student welfare.
Extra-Curricular Activities
- Participate in organizing school sports, social, and cultural activities.
- Support community engagement and outreach initiatives.

Note:
For Teacher I (ECCD) positions, priority will be given to teachers with experience teaching reception classes in public schools.
