Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation (EGPAF) is a USA based Organization with public health programs around the World. It creates a future of hope for children and families worldwide by eradicating pediatric AIDS, providing care and treatment for people with HIV and AIDS, and accelerating the discovery of new treatments for other serious and life threatening pediatric illnesses. EGPAF’s work is funded through private donations, PEPFAR via the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC)), Unit aid etc.
JOB SUMMARY
Under the joint oversight of the AIDSFree CSO Advisor and the NAC Advocacy Manager, the CSO Coordinator will:
- Assist with effective coordination of CSOs sector meetings as a platform for the CSOs to share and learn current updates on HIV/AIDS and TB issues.
- Coordinate the CSOs to develop position papers and other tools for advocacy on TB/HIV issues
- Coordinate district and national level meetings for the CSOs and with other stakeholders where updates and advocacy materials on HIV/TB are shared to assist the CSOs in advocacy on relevant TB/HIV issues.
- Support the CSOs to highlight and contribute to deliberations on issues affecting their beneficiaries in the quarterly National HIV and AIDS. Forum.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
First degree in Social sciences and/or health related field
EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years of experience working on HIV and TB related activities.
Experience working with the media
Experience in stakeholder coordination especially working with civil society organisations
Experience in providing capacity building to the Civil Society Organisations especially on advocacy and communication.
