Child Welfare SA Greater Alberton seeks to appoint a Social Work Supervisor, to be based in Johannesburg.
Appointment date: 24 June 2019
Responsibilities:
- Manage five social workers. Editing Court reports and making Court appearances in the Children’s Court to support the social workers
- Handle a limited caseload of difficult and complex cases
- Use the casework, group work, and community developmental approach plan and implement programmes ensuring prevention and early intervention
- Involve external stakeholders in the management of cases
- Network to ensure that Child Welfare delivers a high standard and quality service to the community
- Be familiar with research procedures by studying the trends and assisting the social workers in conducting projects to alleviate problems and develop better services to children
- Conduct Individual, group and staff development supervision sessions for the implementation of training programmes
- Be positive, mature and passionate individual required
Requirements:
- Qualified Social worker with a minimum of seven to 10 years’ experience
- Registration with the SACSSP
- Experience in Statutory work with children necessary and mandatory
- Must be available to start by the above date
