Employee Contract Type:Local – Fixed Term Employee (Fixed Term)

Job Description:

  • Strengthen the integration of WASH activities with other programmes in the course of the implementation of the child protection and safeguarding issues.
  • Facilitate child protection and safeguarding to ensure that project activities are implemented timely, efficiently and effectively to meet project objectives and standards.
  • Prepare and use appropriate project specific Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and training material for service providers
  • Develop all necessary monitoring and supervision tools used for project implementation
  • Liaise with relevant partners and stakeholders both at districts and national level and other community based agencies for the successful implementation of on Child Protection and Safeguarding project activities.
  • Enforce stewardship by ensuring efficient and effective utilization of project resources for the intended purpose.
  • Hold meetings with communities and WASH committees.
  • Encourage teamwork, be a team player, support communities and other relevant personnel.
  • Provide effective leadership and technical support to communities.
  • Document and share lessons learnt in Child Protection and Safeguarding projects and programmes.
  • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture meetings and in weekly and daily devotions as scheduled and required.
  • Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity biblical leadership and a dynamic personal sense of life calling.
  • Influence staff towards a shared World Vision mission

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Social work
  • At least three (2) years’ experience in implementing child protection projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating training, mentorship and capacity building of community leaders;
  • Experience coordinating trainings, community activities and logistics at the field level;
  • Knowledge of UNICEF reporting requirements including familiarity with the data collection and reporting tools and added advantage

Working Environment / Conditions:

The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of the time.
