Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Diploma in Fleet Management/Transport Management/Business management or equivalent
- Three (3) years’ experience working in Fleet management (Managing Fleet and drivers.Valid driver’s license in Code B – EC as per SADC ranking.
- Public Driver Permit.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements NUL policies and procedures as they relate to NUL Fleet Management
- Vehicles scheduling and dispatch
- Efficient vehicles utilization and route planning
- Vehicles inspection and fleet maintenance plan
- Real-time vehicle tracking (daily vehicles usage records/reports)
- Vehicles performance monitoring, record keeping and improvement
- Prepare budgets and fleet replacement plan
- Delivering good customer service to staff and students
- Assist in the recruitment, discipline and termination of drivers
- Monitoring, correcting and improving drivers’ driving behaviors and operations
- Mentoring, coaching and rewarding drivers
- Evaluating drivers’ performance
- Setting driving schedules for General Manager Services approval
- Tracking drivers’ attendance, health and other statuses
- Ensuring drivers’ adherence to applicable road transport regulations
- Providing route and operations information and technologies to drivers
- Maintaining constant communication with drivers
- Training drivers on vehicles management protocols, risks, safety standards, and more
- Provide monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/annual reports to General Manager Services (GMS)
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
