Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a Chief Technical Officer in the Department of Physics & Electronics, Faculty of Science & Technology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualification is a Diploma in: Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering or equivalent, plus a minimum of 5 years working as a Senior Technical Officer at the tertiary institution or a minimum of 10 years working as a technical officer in the tertiary institution. Selected candidate is expected to resume duties immediately
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In charge of all the Physics and Electronic Engineering laboratories within the department. Develop appropriate assessment strategies to maintain quality and standards in the laboratory programmes. Responsible for safety and good laboratory practices within the department. Assisting in the department and faculty administrative duties as the need may arise. Be among the leading technical staff members in the Physics and Electronics Department.
REMUNERATION
The University offers salaries and other benefits that are commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the applicant who shall qualify for the appointment.
TYPE OF CONTRACT
The contract shall be permanent and pensionable for local applicants, and contractual for non-local applicants
