POST TITLE: CHEMISTRY TEACHER
DEPARTMENT: CHEMISTRY & BIOLOGY
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF SECTION
Job Summary
We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Chemistry Teacher to join our school. Under the supervision of the Head of Section, the incumbent must have a strong background in Chemistry and be willing to inspire young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons from lower to high school students.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Develop and implement modern pedagogical practices to enhance student learning.
- Conduct safe and effective chemistry experiments, ensuring hands-on learning experiences.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a productive and respectful learning space.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B.Sc. with a major in Chemistry, and a teaching certificate.
A minimum of three years of experience teaching Chemistry in a high school setting.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong foundation in Chemistry subject knowledge.
- Effective communication skills with both students and colleagues.
- Excellent experimental skills and the ability to safely conduct demonstrations and practical’s.
- Proven ability to promote curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking.
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Good time management skills and organizational abilities.
- A talent for creating effective classroom engagement
