Overview
SUN JV is the contractor responsible for the construction of the Polihali Dam under Phase II of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. The works include construction of a concrete-faced rockfill dam at Polihali, a saddle dam, and a gravity tunnel connecting Polihali Reservoir to Katse Reservoir.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
Position: Chef / Catering Supervisor (1 Position)
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or related qualification
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in large-scale catering or industrial kitchen environments
- Experience preparing meals for large groups in regulated environments
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Knowledge of hygiene standards, kitchen sanitation, food storage, and food handling practices
- Ability to manage kitchen operations and supervise staff
- Inventory management skills and compliance with health and safety standards
- Experience in construction camps, mining camps, or remote sites is an added advantage
- Must be disciplined, organised, and able to work under pressure in a multicultural environment
