2X Certification Associate

Report to: Programme Manager, 2X Certification

Location: Global (remote)

We are looking for a mission-aligned and highly motivated Associate to join our team. In this role, you will advance project management and provide critical support for this strategic workstream, while working closely with our 2X Certification Programme Manager and the broader team. In 2024, the focus of this role will be to support the pilots and launch of the  2X Certification framework, and to facilitate a smooth market uptake. All your work will be as part of a remote-working team and in collaboration with our members, partners and other key stakeholders in the gender lens investing field.  

At 2X Global our Associates are a mid-level role, who play a critical operational, coordination and content-shaping role within our programmes. We are looking for a solid understanding of finance/investment, with experience or strong interest in gender lens investing. The role will provide critical facilitation support that spans the day-to-day management of core certification activities (such as supporting the pilots, folding in learnings into the MEL plan etc), coordination, supporting strategic partnerships, helping to oversee a network of certification partners, and engaging with other leading standard-setting organisations (e.g., ISSB) and similar partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management and content curation support for development of a 2X Certification
  • Project manage the implementation of the pilot certification projects in collaboration with partners, as well as other related activities
  • Works alongside Programme Managers and the Leadership Team to achieve other strategic priorities – other responsibilities might include research, interviewing members, project scoping and development, event planning etc.
  • Support the building of solid relationships and collaborations with members, partners and a wide range of global stakeholders
  • Support the management of all 2X Certification workstream and operations
  • Contributes to monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) management for the 2X Certification mechanism
  • Support the overall communications and amplification strategy including amplifying the foundation of tools, reports, frameworks
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a remote-working programmes team and in doing so contributes to the successful delivery of the wider 2X Global strategy.

Skills and Experiences

  • We anticipate this role to be suitable for a candidate with 6+ years of experience.
  • Experience in finance or investing, with a solid understanding and passion for gender lens investing.
  • Broad understanding of the 2X Criteria and underlying indicators, including their practical usage in investment contexts. Experience of other gender frameworks or certification mechanisms would be an advantage.
  • Proven project management, time management, and organisation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Innovative research and writing skills, with the ability to develop toolkits and narrative building content. Public speaking experience and interest would be an advantage.
  • Motivated by professional inquisitiveness, solving problems and creative use of digital technology to run projects, collaborate and share information.
  • Receptive to feedback, with a growth mindset.

  • Thrives in a fully remote global team and flexibility to travel when required.

  • A salary range of USD $60,000 – $75,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and credentials. 2X Global employees are paid through a national payroll provider, in their local currency, with a social security plan and industry-standard benefits package
