TENDER NOTICE
The National University of Lesotho (NUL) invites proposals from suitably qualified Catering companies for catering services during the graduation ceremonies at Roma and IEMS, Maseru from the 8th to 12th October 2024.
- Bidders are required to provide the following primary documents, failure of which will result in disqualification of bidders for the tender:
a. Certified copies of valid traders licence and tax Clearance Certificate
b. Two consecutive years financial Statements
c. Returnable Security Bid letter at M10,000.00.

Bidders should provide menus in the following categories:
d. Two options finger lunch menus: Option 1 should be a comprehensive menu which will be served to the Chancellor’s (His Majesty) entourage during the official opening day for 600 people. Option 2 should be a reduced finger lunch menu for 200 Vice-Chancellor’s
dignitaries on the other days (the numbers will vary depending of the number of guests on each day). Both menus should comprise variety on the following categories of platters: Meat, Savoury pastry, Vegetables, Dips for cold and hot dishes, Desserts and Beverages (water and 100% juice).
e. Lunch menu consisting of 1 starch, 2 vegetables, 2 salads and 2 proteins for 200 people.
f. Pre-packed Lunch menu consisting of 1 starch, 2 sides and 1 protein for 100 people.
g. Simple menu for pre-packed breakfast for 60 graduation facilitators.
h. Bidders are expected to provide minimum of ten tables and their chairs to be arranged in
a cocktail style and other necessary items for the service.
- Terms and Conditions
i. NUL reserves the right to reject tenders that do not conform to the format specified.
j. Proposals must be clearly priced and should include VAT if the bidder collects tax, VAT Certificate must be provided.
k. Bidders must submit a complete response covering all the sections in 2 above in order to be considered for selection.
l. Bidders must provide at least four (4) credible reference letters.
m. The closing date for submission of proposals is Wednesday 18th September 2024 during working hours. Proposals must be submitted in two separate envelopes marked Technical and Financial proposals (the latter containing prices only). The two envelopes must be placed in a sealed envelope marked “Catering for Graduation”
