The key areas of responsibility include:
- General Ledger and inter-company loan reconciliations, journal entries
- Assist with month end
- Timeous and accurate monthly reporting
- Maintain & reconcile 6 x cashbooks to the bank statements daily
- Maintain & reconcile 2 x credit card accounts monthly
- Update daily bank balances for all accounts
- Processing of daily EFT, cheque payments and receipts including debit orders
- Processing of daily and monthly payments according to a payment schedule
- Follow ups regarding outstanding deposits with Bank , stores and service providers of cash pick-ups.
- Monthly Cash flow reporting
- Perform ad-hoc assignments as instructed
- Filing/General Administration
The minimum key requirements:
- Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary accounting qualification (diploma or degree)
- At least 3 years of Cash book experience within a large organisation
- You have a high level of computer literacy specifically with Microsoft Dynamic AX and Microsoft Excel at an Intermediate level is essential
- Have a general understanding of the accounting function
- The suitable candidate should also possess the following key skills – you are a team player, are strong at articulating information, manage tasks effectively, excellent at examining information and you pay close attention to detail
