Job Title: Carpentry Instructor (Fixed-Term Contract)
Job Level: Operational
Reporting To: Training Manager
Job Specification
The Instructor must be highly knowledgeable in carpentry and possess strong technical aptitude. The incumbent will assist students, monitor their progress, and contribute to the overall development of the training programme.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in craftsmanship
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer literacy
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the lead instructor in delivering carpentry lessons (theoretical and practical)
• Support students in hands-on projects, providing guidance on techniques and safety practices
• Ensure availability of tools and equipment for smooth lesson delivery
• Assist with curriculum development and implementation of new teaching strategies
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Senior Instructor or LOIC Management
