LHLDC invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Carpenter.
Job Summary
The Carpenter reports to the Facilities Coordinator.
He/She is responsible for fixing and repairs of all carpentry fittings and fixtures to the rental estates and other properties belonging or managed by the Corporation.
Job Description
- He/She will be answerable to the Facilities Coordinator.
- He/She will be expected to do all carpentry works and other related works for all properties under the Corporation’s management.
- He/She will be expected to prepare specifications and supervise maintenance works undertaken by private contractors.
- He/She will be expected to supervise the Private/Casual Painters and Builders.
- He/She will be expected to assist in preparing budgets for all carpentry and other related works.
- He will be expected to undertake other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
The candidate must have one of the following:
- Diploma in Carpentry plus five (5) years’ relevant working experience.
OR
- Certificate in Carpentry plus ten (10) years’ practical experience with proven acquired carpentry and other related technical skills.
