Hatch is currently looking to strengthen our Talent Acquisition Group and there is an opportunity for a creative mind, career driven individual to join our team. The ideal candidate brings a passion for the talent acquisition practice, campus recruiting, programme management, building relationships, sourcing and social media.

Campus recruiting focuses on early identification of candidates in their academic journey through bursary programmes and internships through to full time opportunities after graduation. The Campus Talent Acquisition Specialist develops, implements and executes the recruiting strategy, providing high volume full-cycle recruiting support across South Africa. This role will handle a variety of recruiting activities including further development of strategies, candidate management, managing the candidate experience and supporting pipeline programmes in order to attract and hire top talent for the organisation.

The Campus Talent Acquisition Specialist must be agile, technically strong in high volume full-cycle campus recruitment and equally comfortable talking to business leaders to understand requirements, screening resumes, managing requisitions, coordinating campus events, and presenting to students. You must be a dynamic presenter, skilled influencer, passionate about students and up for a challenge that involves rolling up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the portfolio.


As the successful candidate, you will
:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, bursars and educational institutions and the business
  • Lead, develop, manage and deliver on all campus pipeline programmes and recruitment programmes
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to establish a tailored recruiting approach to attract top candidates
  • Build and maintain relationships with identified tertiary institutions with professionals in career centres and programmes of study
  • Leverage campus recruiting knowledge, recruitment results and competitive market intelligence to drive process and influence key internal stakeholders on recruitment activities and programmes
  • Coordinate logistics and attend campus events (virtual or in person) including career fairs, classroom presentations, conferences and interview sessions
  • Deliver presentations internally and externally
  • Manage processing of payment of invoices related to campus recruitment and track costs against the budget
  • Serve as a “Brand Ambassador” to expand our internal and external footprint to build the Hatch Brand through social media and other channels
    • Works with key internal and external business partners to drive postings, email and social media campaigns
  • Execution of full recruiting life cycle for campus requisitions
  • Reporting and Metrics

    • Responsible for delivering all reporting requirements
    • Maintains the integrity of data in the ATS and produces recruiting and hiring activity reports for management
    • Maintaining bursary programmes data and reporting monthly
  • Collaborate with the business and HR partners to develop the Young Talent Strategy for South Africa
  • Work with the internal groups in respect to exchanging and promoting ideas, and proposing strategies around candidate experience, technology and talent attraction
  • Play an active role in the Young Talent industry
  • Play an active role as a member of the global TA practice, contribute to strategy development, automation and leading global initiatives where appropriate
  • Play an active role on Social media platforms driving postings and engagement with the talent market
  • Integrate emerging digital platforms with traditional web and online recruitment methods while streamlining activities to optimise the candidate experience
  • Manage external suppliers and vendor while introducing new concepts to the practice
  • Consult and advise on other campus programmes across the region – Africa, Europe and Middle East
  • Other duties as assigned


You bring to the role :

  • Full professional proficiency of the English language is required
  • A relevant University Degree is required
  • 10 + years recruiting experience preferably in the engineering or consulting industry focused on recruiting and managing young talent programmes
  • Passion for young talent and building relationships
  • Experience with full recruiting lifecycle inclusive of delivering talent pipelines while leveraging social media and other emerging methods
  • Proven headhunting experience, excellent candidate searching and networking skills
  • Knowledge of HR and Talent Management theories, workforce planning, best practices related regulations, legislations and trends
  • Demonstrated focus on quality, organisational effectiveness and continuous development and improvement of systems & processes
  • Ability to motivate others – demonstrating a proactive and innovative approach with a high level of passion and initiative
  • Ability to respond professionally and effectively to the needs of internal and external customers
  • Client focused with enthusiasm to provide high quality customer service
  • Good working knowledge of E-Recruiting systems and principles and the discipline to use them (LinkedIn Recruiter, Internet Recruitment, X-ray search and advanced MS Office)
  • Experience in social media, employment branding and selection
  • Experience with SuccessFactors recruitment ATS or similar ATS
  • Excellent influencing, relationship building, business acumen, client focus, organisation and prioritisation skills
