Job Responsibilities:
Employs and supervises staff to operate dining facilities
Plan menus, prepares food supply orders, and stores food
Assumes responsibility for checking in and out camp environment and non camp groups and maintenance records
Inspects all facilities and collects breakage fees
Assumes responsibility for maintaining standard first aid supplies
Assumes responsibility for collecting camp fees, keeping accurate financial record and report to the administrative control and finance manager
Aids in the evaluation of camp programs and personnel
Assumes responsibility for inventory and ordering of recreational equipment and supplies
Assumes responsibility for securing of camp facilities and camp personnel
Performs maintenance and repairs on camp facilities including plumbing, painting, carpentry, cleaning, and electrical duties with the assistance of relevant artisans.
Qualifications:
Diploma in Bookkeeping/Accounting/ Hospitality or equivalent
Graduation from a vocational school and considerable experience related to this class of work, or any equivalent combination of training will be an added advantage
Minimum 5 years experience in managing construction camp site
Knowledge of menu planning and food service
Ability to supervise
Ability to maintain financial records
Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with adults, youth and general public.
