CAMP AND SITE OFFICER

Liqhobong Mining Development Company (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Firestone Diamonds PLC, invites suitably qualified and competent Basotho to apply for the vacant position of Camp and Site Officer.

Job Purpose

Responsible for assisting the Direct Report with various administrative duties as they relate to administration of Laundry, Accommodation, Catering and Transport services on Site.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Camp and Site Superintendent, the incumbent will carry out the following duties and responsibilities.

  • Capture appropriate accommodation and catering data into the system;
  • Ensure compliance to the HSE Risk Operating Manual Quality Food Control;
  • Produce prescribed accommodation and catering and feeding reports and submit to the Accommodation and Catering Service Provider;
  • Capture data into the booking and asset control systems;
  • Allocate meal tickets for canteen and inform Catering Service Provider daily of the numbers of people to be fed pre dining;
  • Receive notification of an official event and the requirements thereof and record in the system;
  • Inform the service provider of catering of other requirements;
  • Maintain physical and electronic filing system;
  • Receive request from occupants and /or cleaners for maintenance work;
  • Input the request into the system and complete and submit a maintenance request form appropriately;
  • Follow-up to ensure the requested maintenance has been completed;
  • Capture Site Services data in the system e.g. Risk Logs, Winter Preparedness Plans, Site Services calendars and Site Services action logs;
  • Responsible for compliance with the SHEC requirements on site relevant to Camp and site;

Legal and other requirements

  • Police clearance and medical examinations of fitness;
  • Valid driving licence.

Qualifications and experience

  • Five (5) years’ hospitality experience in the Mining Environment;
  • Diploma in Hospitality Management;
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft office-word, excel, power point).
