π’ Call for Project-Based Experts β Circular Economy and Entrepreneurial Support
East Africa Gate (EAGate) is inviting qualified professionals to submit CVs for two key expert positions under an anticipated 12-month regional capacity-building assignment covering East and Southern Africa. The assignment will focus on four priority countries: (Angola, Namibia, Burundi, and Mozambique)
The programme will include organisational needs assessments, curriculum development, blended training, workshops, coaching, peer learning, investment-readiness support and the integration of circular economy principles into existing incubation and acceleration programmes.
Business Support and Incubation/Acceleration Specialist
Key responsibilities:
- Design and deliver practical capacity-building content for incubators, accelerators and BDS providers.
- Develop curricula, mentoring tools and adult-learning materials.
- Strengthen ESO capacity in business-model development, investment readiness, financial preparation and enterprise growth.
- Support ESOs in integrating circular economy considerations into their existing programmes and service offerings.
- Facilitate workshops, online learning sessions, mentoring and individual organisational coaching.
- Contribute to peer-learning activities, programme monitoring and technical reporting.
- Support the application of gender-responsive and inclusive approaches in entrepreneurship development.
Minimum profile:
- Advanced university degree, preferably at Masterβs level, in business administration, entrepreneurship, management or a related field.
- At least seven years of professional experience designing or implementing incubation, acceleration or structured business-support programmes.
- Demonstrated experience training professionals working in entrepreneurship support, incubation or acceleration.
- Strong experience in curriculum design, adult learning, mentoring and coaching.
- Proven experience supporting start-ups, MSMEs, ESOs or equivalent business-support organisations.
- Experience applying gender-responsive and inclusive approaches in enterprise development.
- Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa, preferably East and Southern Africa.
- Knowledge of circular economy concepts and business models is an advantage.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Portuguese.
