SEBABATSO 2026 –  CHINA SEMINAR APPLICATION FORM 

All Basotho Youth entrepreneurs and those who have prototypes or talents should apply.

Seminars and Courses:

1. Training course on Young Entrepreneurs from African Countries (15 – 28 October 2026): 

The course system is divided into 5 modules: 1) General courses, 2) Specialised courses, 3) Case – based training, Site visits and cultural experience. Lectures will cover core themes such as entrepreneurial opportunity identification, corporate operation and management, financing support, digital tool application and international market expansion. sites visits will build platforms for business/project matching, resource integration and bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Businesses sectors that can apply are not limited to:

  • AI, robotics, software or digital solutions
  • Creative industries such as designers, artisans, etc
  • Manufactures 
  • Renewable energy and green technology
  • and others

Applicants should demonstrate but not limited to:

  • Proven ability to mobilize peers or run a business venture
  • Creative solutions to local or regional challenges
  • Evidence to of revenue, customers and or partnerships
  • Potential to scale up and represent Lesotho abroad.
  • Ethical Conduct and transparency

2. Seminar on International operation capacity of enterprises for Developing Countries (10-30 October 2026)

The course system is divided into 4 modules: 1) main courses, 2) Lectures 3) Site visits and cultural experience 4) Communication Material prepared by participants related to the course such as: 1) Personal professional background and work unit 2) the development status, your business needs or existing problems in relevant fields or sectors within Lesotho or your specific community or sector. Training Content will cover overview of China’s national conditions, China’s Internet+ Entrepreneurship behavior – industry selection and model innovation, practical leadership approaches for motivating multicultural teams, China’s enterprises’ response practices, leveraging cross boarder e commerce platforms, China’s investment models and New operation model of supply chain finance in cross-border logistics.

Businesses sectors that can apply are not limited to:

  • Cross – boarder e-commerce such as online trade platforms, logistics and payment systems
  • Supply chain and logistics such as warehousing, transport, cold chain and customs solutions.
  • Digital economy such as AI, digital tools, FinTech supporting SME Globilization.
  • Manufacturing SMEs who have strategies to access global markets
  • Value added agriculture, food processing and agribusinesses that aspire to sell outside Lesotho and are export ready
  • Renewable energy and green trade

Applicants should demonstrate but not limited:

  • Clear ambition to expand beyond Lesotho
  • Evidence of operations, customers and aspire or are ready to export 
  • Ability to speak for youth entrepreneurs in formal settings
  • creative approaches to overcome trade barriers
  • English proficiency and cross-cultural confidence

3. Seminar on Business Data collection, compilation and analysis for Developing Countries (10-23 October 2026) 

Businesses that can apply may fall under this sectors and more:

  • Business ventures using data resources (FinTech, analytics, SaaS)
  • Businesses leveraging data for logistics, customer targeting and trade facilitation
  • businesses applying data to improve yields (Agribusinesses), market access and export readiness
  • Mobile payments and digital credit and any financial innovations
  • data driven solutions for transport, warehousing and customs
  • creative industries where data insights can guide consumer trends and market expansion.

Applicants should demonstrate but not limited to:

  • Ability to use spreadsheets, analytics tools or basic data visualisation.
  • Applying data to solve real business or social problems
  • Evidence of operations, customers or measurable outputs
  • Confidence to represent Lesotho and share stories on youth entrepreneurship in Lesotho
  • English proficiency and ability to engage in technical discussions
  • Openness to collaborate and trade beyond Lesotho
