I-Park is now accepting applications for its fully-funded multi-disciplinary residencies. This multidisciplinary program is open to architects, garden designers, and landscape architects/designers looking to enrich their practice in a collegial, retreat-like setting – in the company of artists working in the visual arts, creative writing, music composition/sound art and moving image/new media.
Residents can use their time at I-Park to work on commercial commissions, competition proposals, dissertations, model building or theoretical investigations. Or they can simply tinker in the workshop or experiment with a project out on the land – freed from the constraints of a client, budget or even a specific purpose. I-Park is willing to consider garden installations with prior approval, and a commitment to return to maintain the works in the future.
Details and application forms are available at http://www.i-park.org/2022grp. Applications are due January 17, 2022 and carry a $35 fee to help defray the cost of the selection panels. This year, I-Park will also be offering $500 travel grants to four international residents residing outside North America, based on need.
