About Us: A fully remote technical consulting company based in Cheyenne, WY with developers around the country. We work with a variety of clients and support their ability to succeed by delivering solid programming, timely communication, and thorough support.
About You: Aside from the necessary programming skills, you must be independently motivated and organized. Workplace autonomy, responsibility, and communication are critical to all contractors on the team, and it’s a bonus if you have current or past experience working directly with your own clients.
You should have the following:
- The ability to create well-organized, thorough, scalable, testable programming architecture with minimal reoccurring issues
- Strong problem-solving abilities for tracking down issues, solving their root cause and thinking through implications
- Must have a schedule compatible with being responsive to client issues during business hours (This role is not compatible with working only late nights and weekends)
- Must be able to fluently and understandably speak English and effectively communicate complex concepts with other developers and clients directly
Core programming and database abilities:
- C#: Web Forms, Windows Forms, MVC4+, API/RESTful Services (Must have recent and long-term experience with C# as a language)
- SQL Server: Architecture including complex stored procedures/views and data transformation, optimization
- Web: HTML/CSS, Javascript/frameworks, XML/JSON, etc. UI design is useful. WordPress useful.
Hosting experience is a plus, especially AWS. Experience with setting up and running devops including deployments/testing is a plus. Using SVN currently (versus Git/MS source control).
