Introduction
Letšeng Diamonds (Pty) Ltd (“Letšeng”), a private company owned by Gem Diamonds Limited (“Gem”) (70%) and the Government of Lesotho (“GoL”) (30%) has insourced process function which consists of Plant Maintenance, Plant operation and Plant Procurement. As part of this insourcing, Letšeng is looking for suitable candidates for the position of BUYERS
Duties & Responsibilities
To ensure prompt procurement and delivery of all plant spares and services in accordance with the company’s operational, legal, and other requirements. To administer and execute all purchase orders, expedite deliveries, identify new and potential suppliers and review vendor profiles and update suppliers master file
Desired Qualification, Experience Skills & Competencies
Minimum Diploma in Business Management or Accounting. A formal procurement certificate or degree would be an added advantage
2-3 years relevant purchasing experience in mining environment
Good knowledge and proficiency in Sage Software or similar, and MS Office. Attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
