Purpose
Responsible for prompt procurement, receiving, counting, safeguarding, issuing and disposal of stock items to and from the stores.
Main Outputs & Responsibilities
Ensure that site stock requirements are met. To administer and execute all purchase orders, identify new and potential suppliers and review vendor profiles and update suppliers master file.
Qualification & Experience required
Diploma in Business Management or Accounting. A formal procurement certificate or degree would be an added advantage.
2-3 years relevant purchasing and stores experience in mining environment
Required Competencies, Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of supply chain management principles. The ability to order things according to their importance or urgency. Strong analytical skill and ability to work independently under pressure. The ability to manage time effectively and efficiently in accordance with work priorities to ensure qualitative outcomes. Attention to detail and problem solving. Light Vehicle Driver’s License
