The Business Support Coordinator role is based within Commercial Operations Unit

Role purpose:

To perform a wide variety of complex administrative support duties across multiple processes including clerical support, internal communication, events, change and culture initiatives.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Maintains and coordinates day-to-day calendar activities, this includes organising meetings and appointments.

  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation.
  • Compiling and preparing reports, presentations and correspondence

  • Maintains stock lists and orders office supplies as needed
  • Handles purchase orders and invoicing
  • Manage business unit assets and maintain the asset register.
  • Devise and maintain office filing system
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and execution of all business unit events in accordance to the specified requirements

  • Plan and organize event in accordance to the approved budget and timeline
  • Evaluate personnel and provide reports
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, food, drinks etc.)
  • Responsible for business unit internal communication, this includes content writing and distribution of the business unit communication.
  • Maintains a calendar of assigned projects in accordance to the specified timeline.
  • Creates and launches targeted business unit campaigns.
  • Develops internal business unit newsletter and maximise the opportunity to feature key business strategic initiatives, people and culture initiatives.
  • Play an instrumental role to advocate and promote change and culture initiatives in the business unit
  • Enables and execute change and employee engagement initiatives within the business unit
  • Plan, coordinate and execute various projects in the business unit

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following technical / professional qualifications:

  • Matric
  • A Project Management qualification (advantageous)

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Project Administration essential with basic exposure to change and/or communication activities.

The base location for this role is Service Park, Midrand
