STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A university degree or equivalent
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years providing administrative support or assistance nationally or in regional and international organizations.

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT

Under the supervision of the ARC Group Board Chairperson, the job holder is expected to take responsibility for completion of a range of business support activities requiring some interpretation of standard guidelines/practices. 

JOB PURPOSE

To assist the Chairperson of the ARC Group Board in the discharge of his duty. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

  1. Follow up on routine actions (emails, letters, reports) and deadlines of activities requiring the attention of the Chairperson and ensure that the matters are timely attended to and processed by the Chairperson;
  2. Assist the Chairperson on the signature, printing and scanning of all documentation required to be sent out by the Chairperson;
  3. Manage and coordinate the appointment schedule of the Chairperson;
  4. Prepare communications on behalf of a Chairperson;
  5. Write reports and meeting minutes involving the Chairperson, when requested;
  6. Liaising with Board Secretariat on matters requiring the attention of the Chairperson;
  7. Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Board Secretary for the effective discharge of the Chairperson’s functions.
