BUSINESS PROCESS ENGINEER (Grade 6/HRL17)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Sappi Ngodwana seeks to employ a Business Process Engineer to develop detailed business requirements and coordinate the analysis, design, development, testing of business process and IT system improvements
REPORTING TO the IT Applications Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business area’s short, medium and long-term objectives and its current business processes
- Review current state processes and identify problem areas
- Educate and support business colleagues on current and future system capabilities
- Provide specific business area subject matter input and facilitate the development of business requirements for new or improved business
- Prioritise and validate requirements and obtain approval for the agreed framework.
- Develop detailed business process flows and include how technology solutions will enable the business processes.
- Analyse the proposed changes against existing processes to determine the change impact.
- Review problem logs and identify the root causes of repetitive business issues
- Support the business to track the benefits of the new solutions
- Assist with the deployment of a structured change plan including stakeholder updates, communication, training and training manuals
- Participate in user acceptance testing and provide detailed feedback
- Contribute to the development of the system testing approach, test cases, test data and testing scenarios

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- B Degree in Information Science or Commerce
- 5-8 years business area or IT functional experience
- SAP system certification relevant to the specific business area would be an advantage
