Job Title : Business Manager(Paterson Grade D).

JOB PURPOSE
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Business Manager will lead the strategic planning and execution processes of Lesotho PostBank, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s mission. This role is pivotal in driving sustainable growth, innovation, and transformation across the Bank’s operations.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of the Bank’s corporate strategy and annual business plans. .
- Facilitate strategic workshops and planning sessions with executive leadership and the Board.
- Analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor strategies to inform business decision.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives and performance metrics.
- Monitor and report on the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s mandate and national financial inclusion goals.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions and drive alignment across teams.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct market research and environmental scanning to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Benchmark the Bank’s performance against local and regional financial institutions.
- Provide strategic insights to support product development, digital transformation, and customer-centric innovations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure strategic alignment across functions.
- Prepare strategic reports and presentations for the Managing Director, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
- Represent the Bank in strategic forums, including government, regulatory, and development partner engagements.
Performance Management & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain a strategic performance dashboard.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for LPB strategy and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions.
- Evaluate the performance of existing initiatives and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the Managing Director in evaluating the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
Job Requirement
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategy, corporate planning, or management consulting, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of financial services
