Alliance Insurance Company, a registered and licensed financial services provider, has a vacancy for the position of Business Intelligence Trainee at the Maseru Head Office.

The successful candidate will support the organisation’s data-driven transformation by contributing to data governance, business process optimisation and automation, data analytics, dashboard development, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.

Job Role

The Business Intelligence Trainee will:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, integrity, accuracy, and compliance across all data processes (collection, storage, processing, and transfer)
  • Support forecasting, predictive analytics, and integration of BI solutions with business systems to strengthen reporting, modelling, and decision-making capabilities
  • Collaborate with business units and IT to maintain the organisation’s data warehouse and data management standards
  • Support initiatives that improve data accessibility, consistency, reliability, and reporting across the organisation
  • Identify and support automation of manual business processes
  • Apply Business Intelligence tools to analyse business, customer, operational, and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and root causes
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualisations to provide clear, accurate, and actionable insights for management and stakeholders

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

  • BSc Software Engineering with Multimedia, BSc/BEng Computer Science, or BSc/BEng Data Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualisation tools will be an added advantage
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Learning agility
