Role Description

We are delighted to announce an opening for Business Development Manager. The main task of the position, is to drive sales within the company and supervise the team. Meaning you will have the opportunity to create new ways of work, motivating, monitoring and helping the rest of the sales team in Lesotho achieve their goals in line with all company objectives. This means new ideas, business models, and strategies are welcome.The role will involve day-to-day tasks such as analyzing market trends, identifying business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, managing the supply chain, and ensuring efficient delivery of electronic components

It is worth noting that some of the responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed.
  • Assess current team processes and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.
  • Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team members.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
  • Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new trends and competition status.

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and partners
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles
  • Proficiency in data analysis and market research
  • Experience in business development and sales
  • Familiarity with electronic components and industry trends
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration,Sales, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Background in B2B sales, especially with Electronics industry will be highly valued
