Remote Aid International (RAI) is a U.S. non-profit organization founded to assist people affected by conflict and civil unrest and to promote regional stability through grassroots initiatives and local partnerships. RAI brings critical services and expertise to confront some of the greatest challenges facing the world today. Our services are based on the fundamental needs of the people we assist and include humanitarian assistance, stabilization initiatives, capacity building, technical expertise and advisory, and development programs. Our focus areas include Correctional Services, Justice Sector Reform, Transnational Law Enforcement, Humanitarian and Refugee Assistance, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Terrorist Financing.
RAI seeks to appoint a Junior Grant Analyst or part-time Grant Intern to support business development efforts. The position will be located in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town with the option to work mostly remotely.
Duties:
Search for and research target opportunities
Assist grant / proposal writing
Assist monitoring and evaluation
Document review and preparation
Support budget preparation
Requirements:
Preferred: Master Degree or pursuing PhD in Economics, Political Science, Social Science or program relating to international studies, aid & development, monitoring & evaluation or similar
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled program per above fields
Exceptional writing and research skills (English) – writing samples required
Have a keen interest in international events
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Have their own means of transport.
Should be available to work part-time from RAI offices in Cape Town.
