Job Title: Business Development Consultant

Role Objective:

To provide branch level operational leadership to the Sales team in the fulfillment of client and customer needs by building and maintaining solid relationships that meet client needs and grow LNIG Hollard’s market share.

– Participate in the development and implementation of sales strategies that take into consideration all service lines.

– Secure and lead sales calls with senior decision makers.

– Identify, qualify, pursue and negotiate/resolve concerns to close sales

– Builds market position by locating developing, defining. negotiating and closing business relationships with clients and distribution partners within area of responsibility.

– Implements the Sales & Distribution, operational plans and initiatives under guidance of the Head of Sales and Distribution

– Coordinates sales targets for the respective teams, provide support to the sales teams and ensure that sales targets are achieved.

– Provides leadership and clear communication (written and verbal) to sales teams and communicate the expected outcomes throughout the distribution channel linkages

– Oversee product and sales skill training tor sales teams.

– Monitors sales activity, evaluate progress, providing sound sales advice and produce monthly sales reports

Required Education and Experience:

– Diploma essential

– Degree desired

– Insurance training would be an added advantage

– Minimum 5 years sales experience

– Business Development or Relationship Management or Account Management expert

– 2 years experience in a supervisory position

– Insurance industry experience an added advantage
