The CHABAHIVA Trust  is a responsible social investor. They aim to contain the spread and adverse consequences of HIV, to be a sustainable fund manager, to ensure all our partner organisations are effective in positive and compassionate contributions to the health sector areas they operate in, and to create sustainable partner organisations within our collaborative network.

The CHABAHIVA Trust seeks to appoint a Business Developer to be based in South Africa.

Responsibilities:
Contribute, lead, and implement the organisation’s corporate fundraising strategy,
Write and submit all identified funding related applications and reports,
Contribute to the organisational strategy with fundraising updates and information, related recommendations, and industry insight,
Meet agreed on targets within agreed timeframes
Strategic relationship management
Donor retention
Business developer activities
Be able to work from home and travel alone to projects outside Gauteng when required
Requirements:
strong and compassionate communicator and proposal writer,
proven industry track record, ability to connect and link opportunities with the audience,
strong computer skills, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, good understanding, and ability to interpret and create budgets.
Must have Personal Attributes:

ability to work independently, be self-driven, target driven, leadership, empathy, creativity, imagination, resilience, ethical and responsible, initiative, and engagement.

Equally Important is your Experience & Qualifications:
Experience in business development, fundraising, and securing substantial and repeated funds
Strong networking and relationship building abilities (established corporate network/database is advantageous)
Minimum 7 years’ experience in a business development role, with a minimum 5 years of strong fundraising experience
Tertiary qualification (Marketing, Sales, Business) will be advantageous.
Remuneration: Basic salary plus target driven bonus
