Prime Cubate is a business incubation and enterprise support organisation based in Lesotho. It designs and delivers structured incubation programmes for small and growing enterprises, providing support in program coordination, stakeholder engagement, financial systems strengthening, reporting, and operational execution. Prime Cubate currently serves as an Enterprise Support Organization under the World Bank-backed Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion (CAFI) Project, delivering the Lesotho Entrepreneurship Hub & Seed Financing Facility incubation program, and has supported 85+ enterprises to date, with a strong focus on women- and youth-led businesses, job creation, and inclusive economic growth.
Position Overview:
We are seeking committed and impact-driven Business Coaches to join our entrepreneurship support team. In this role, you will work closely with enterprises to accelerate their growth, strengthen operational performance, and ensure the successful implementation of their incubation plans. You will conduct weekly coaching sessions, guide enterprises in meeting their KPIs, and support them in maintaining accurate and complete business documentation.
The position requires a proactive professional who can offer strategic insights, facilitate goal-setting, and monitor measurable progress across multiple business functions. You will collaborate regularly with ESO manager, programme manager, industry specialists, and support partners to deliver holistic assistance to participating enterprises. Key Responsibilities:
a. Conduct weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with assigned enterprises every Monday or Tuesday to track progress, address challenges, and set actionable goals.
b. Ensure 100% completion rate of weekly 1-on-1 coaching sessions with assigned enterprises.
c. Provide constructive feedback and strategic guidance to help businesses refine their business models, financial management, and operational strategies.
d. Work with enterprises to meet their KPI targets as outlined in their incubation plan.
e. Track and support enterprises in maintaining accurate business documentation and reports required for the program’s data room.
f. Facilitate business coaching sessions (2 hours per week per enterprise) to ensure entrepreneurs implement new strategies learned during the incubation program, set weekly goals and review the last week’s goal process.
g. Attend BDSP-led training workshops on the first and third Thursday of every month, engaging with enterprises on their training takeaways and implementation.
i. Submit weekly coaching reports detailing enterprise progress, challenges, and recommendations to the ESO team every Thursday by COB.
j. Collaborate with the ESO Manager and Programme Manager in weekly check-ins to assess enterprise performance and adjust coaching strategies accordingly.
k. Participate in the weekly ESO internal alignment meeting every Friday to review enterprise progress, discuss insights from coaching sessions, and ensure program consistency.
l. Engage in cross-functional collaboration with BDSPs, legal advisors, and financial specialists to provide comprehensive support to enterprises.
n. Monitor and document measurable improvements in enterprise KPIs, including financial documentation, compliance, and business growth.
o. Consistently track enterprise progress and ensure all data room requirements are met.
Time Commitment:
- This is a part-time position requiring 5-10 hours per week to conduct coaching sessions, complete reporting, and participate in required programme meetings and check-ins.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related business field.
- Additional certifications in coaching, SME development, business advisory, or entrepreneurship support (e.g., CEFE, ICF coaching credentials, business incubation training) are an added advantage.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is beneficial but not required.
Experience:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience supporting SMEs or startups in roles such as business coaching, business advisory, consulting, incubation or acceleration support, or entrepreneurship program management.
- Demonstrated ability to coach or advise businesses across key functional areas, including business model development, pricing strategy, operations, sales strategy, customer journey mapping, and financial management.
- Proven experience coaching enterprises or working specifically in Manufacturing – Renewable Energy & Green Manufacturing, Agro-Processing & Food Manufacturing, and Recycling & Circular Economy sectors.
- Proven experience conducting structured weekly coaching or training sessions and guiding enterprises toward meeting defined KPIs or performance goals.
- Practical exposure to cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, and business development professionals to provide holistic enterprise support.
- Experience working within entrepreneurship ecosystems, incubators, accelerators, or SME development programs is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in using Google Workspace tools (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides) for documentation, reporting, and data tracking.
Remuneration:
- Market related based on experience and number of enterprises.
