Andela is hiring for a top priority placement at a leading cross platform computer peripheral devices manufacturer. Our partner is looking for stable, long-term talent to join them as a Business Analyst.
What You’ll Do
To act as a bridge between technology & business teams. The role entails the transition of business needs into working technology solutions. Another integral aspect of this role is to have a view of overall company strategies and key goals in order to ensure that all delivered solutions are in line with this and add value not only to the particular business division but to the company as a whole.
In addition, the delivered solutions must fulfil or satisfy the initial needs which lead to project initiation. The business analyst is again responsible to ensure that this is achieved to the greatest extent possible.
The In-Market Business Analyst will liaise with the Product Owners in order to understand the business requirements and document accordingly for project execution.
Job Requirements
- Stakeholder engagement: To always be aware of departmental/ business strategies & roadmaps at any given time especially at the beginning of each quarter or financial year.
- Document requirements accordingly in order to initiate a project. Understand why a solution is needed & how it fulfils business needs/targets.
- Engage with the involved stakeholders to review the processes & procedures to find better ways of collaboration in cases where there are dependencies between different business functions.
- Provide support for testing teams to ensure that testing is carried out effectively & efficiently. Ensure that user acceptance certificates are issued & signed upon testing completion especially where 3rd parties are involved.
- Ensure that all users, that is end users & support teams are sufficiently trained on the use of new solutions/technologies.
Must have technical / professional qualifications
- Degree in IT or related field (essential);
- Fluent in English
- Experience with project management tools e.g. JIRA, MS Project
- Have in-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Work as Business Analyst and team leader on several Agile, SAFe project teams, offshore or onsite.
- Familiar with the transaction methods common to software development: APIs, XML, JSON, REST, Message Queues, etc
- Able to create additional materials, such as wireframes and flow documents.
- Knowledge and experience in mobile money or similar highly transactional industries
- Proactive, solution-seeking mindset
- Detail-oriented and methodical approach to requirements
