Position Overview:
OU Brand XP Design Consistency and Production Lead’s primary focus area will be:
Responsible for leading all aspects of the local and designated regional brands’ brand image, to continuously drive relevance to the target audience and to protect the integrity of the brands’ experiences
- Leading the Brand XP Consistency Design Team to develop creative and art direction for the local and designated regional brands’
- Partnering with external agencies to develop authentic and compelling design and tone of voice tools, such as logo style guides, go-to-market asset frameworks, standards and guidelines.
- Developing visual identity systems for brands that are seamless across any touchpoint, multidimensional and relevant to consumers and shoppers
- Thinking analytically and creatively about the role of various forms of content and mastering how visual identity systems should be crafted to strengthen the power of the brand / brand message across all platforms and media
- Drive thinking on how to apply brand identity systems around E2E consumer journey and shopper path (both online and offline) to drive consistency in line with on the experience
- Being the guardian to make sure path to purchases (both online and offline) are seamlessly integrated and all expressions of the brand on afore-mentioned consumer and shopper journeys remain true to the essence of the brand.
- Ensure executional excellence of visual identity system across all touchpoints as they move from strategy/ idea into production and in-market execution
- Lead Production of consumer, shopper and customer ideas and content across multiple touch points and channels (including e-commerce), from a category and portfolio bundle perspective including talent usage rights and policies
- Continuously introduce new production studios, companies, directors / producers, technologies, techniques, and other service providers
- Introduce new ideas for modular production, to dramatically increase re-use of content and to enable localization, and real time amplification with quality and speed; across multiple connection points, territories and platforms
- OU Brand XP Design Consistency & Production Lead will carry out duties equally through her/his team (including situational coaching and talent development) and individually; and interacting regularly with the OU IMX lead, with OU Marketing Lead and broader OU marketing team.
KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS
Experience
Significant Creative Development Experience and Design Strategy (18+ years)
Direct experience with design strategy, logo design, graphics, packaging, art direction and branding, production of all types of content and working with design agencies
Preference for experience developing photography, styling, product design and shopper marketing
Experience working with marketing in the field is preferred
Experience working in cross-functional and cross-geographical teams is preferred
Communication, influencing and negotiation skills across multiple stakeholders
Work Focus
Ability to provide input to creative strategy at OU level, and Design strategies at global level
Ability to lead integrate brand experience across multiple touch points
Deep understanding of the evolved media landscape and e-commerce
Expertise in working with different external partners (i.e.: agencies, production houses, media companies, influencers)
Design thinking capability
Ability to work in Agile cross-functional teams
Communication Focus
Role will require frequent communication with OU Mkt lead, OU IMX Lead, Global Design Lead, OU Marketing Team, OU Design leads in other OUs;
Role will also interact frequently with external parties, particularly agencies, media companies, production houses
