Key Accountabilities

Development and delivery of the Design agenda within the Grains brand strategy in SSA, across innovation, activation and communication – to support Net Revenue growth and grow share of market.

  • By bringing centralized/above-market oversight and resources, we will ensure more tactical & operational coherence and more synergies across the portfolio offerings
  • Responsible for brand design and building, category growth strategy execution across the Snacks category.
  • This marketing leader will enable and support coordination with the SSA Design Director and Sector to Design.
  • Supports brand equity, SOM and innovation agenda, including geo extensions across the region.
  • Works closely with both the markets and the global functions to deliver brand activation and innovation plans that maximize leverage of global brand assets whilst identifying regional specifics needs and developing marketing solutions as needed.
  • Support the global creative development of PepsiCo SA comms specific to Snacks.
  • Responsible for the Snacks PepsiCo SA Innovation Strategy – Ensuring the future success of the brands through Design. Identifying growth opportunities and the consumer needs and bring design to market which drives price realization, NR and volume contribution for the total portfolio
  • Enabling & supporting the future success of the Snacks brands through Design.
  • Unlocking Design solutions to drive expansion into market white spaces.
  • Developing multi-marketing, multi-brand media playbooks to deliver the strongest media plans to drive efficiencies and best practice


Special Professional Certificates Requirements

  • Familiarity with a variety of software programs, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Flash
  • Evidence of participation in ongoing professional development opportunities in the areas of graphic design or social media
  • Recent hands-on experience with applying design, copy, or web best practices
  • Web design experience an advantage, especially using HTML5 and WordPress


Years of experience required

7 years’ experience in the field of field of Design and Communication Marketing, likely within a creative agency context

Education Background & Skills
4-year tertiary qualification in the field of Marketing/ Commercial or Business
