What you can expect

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations within the branch, through the provision of effective methods, procedures and strategies Core responsibilities will include the following:

Responsible for the complete inventory count process & ensuring that the procedure is followed during the weekly/monthly & year-end stock counts

Monitoring stock levels, stock write-offs and stock losses. All slow/dead stock to be discussed with the Sales Manager before writing off

Ensuring that all security measures relating to movement of stock and staff are maintained

Monitoring in-house, ad-hoc & supplier sick bays to ensure that all stock is accounted for as well as the safe disposal of all stock

Monitoring goods returned to supplier, buyouts purchase and sold

Maintenance of Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) both at the Midrand Warehouse and at the RCC

Working closely with the EHS Specialist & implementing of Responsible Care Management System (Code 0 -10)

Establishing a high-performance safety culture and enhancing safety awareness across all levels by means of Safety Champions Activities

Ensuring that all sales are processed timeously and that contingency plans are in place over month end invoicing and deliveries

Daily running of the price, description & discount modification report and discussing with the relevant Customer Service Officer or team leader

Providing leadership and management to direct reports through effective target setting, delegation, motivation and communication

What we expect

Relevant National Diploma

Minimum 2 years’ industry relevant experience

Strong background in security and implementation of security related policies and processes within a warehouse environment

Knowledge of business and management principles & project management

Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices

Health & Safety experience / Team management experience

SAP – advantageous
