Purpose
- Support financially disadvantaged students
- Empower first-generation university students

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of Lesotho
- Must meet admission requirements of Botho University
- Must demonstrate financial need (except for Sports Scholarship)
- Specific Criteria:
- Need-Based: Orphaned / unemployed or low-income parents
- First in Family: First in immediate family to attend university
- Women in STEM: Female, credit in Mathematics, applied to Faculty of Engineering & Technology
- Sports: Regional/national sports achievement, willing to represent the university
Required Documents

- Certified educational certificates (e.g., LGCSE)
- National ID or passport
- Death certificates (if applicable)
- Chief’s letter confirming orphan/unemployment status (if applicable)
- Payslip or income proof (if applicable)
- Sports certificates or coach’s recommendation (for Sports Scholarship)
Special Requirements
- Women in STEM: Must have a credit in Mathematics
- Sports Scholarship: Must have verifiable achievements at regional/national level
Scholarship Coverage
- Up to 75% of tuition fees
- Covers the entire academic programme duration
- Subject to annual renewal based on satisfactory academic performance
