SOS Children’s Villages Lesotho is a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children, families, and communities across Lesotho. We are committed to sustainability, child protection, and creating long-term social impact.
Position: Board Member (Volunteer Role)
We are inviting applications from qualified, passionate, and visionary individuals to join our Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the organization
- Ensure strong governance, accountability, and compliance
- Safeguard the organization’s financial and legal integrity
- Support fundraising and resource mobilization initiatives
- Contribute to policy development and organizational growth
- Act as ambassadors of the organization’s mission
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven leadership experience in NGO, corporate, or public sector
- Expertise in areas such as finance, law, child protection, HR, governance, or fundraising, fundraising / resource mobilization, real estate management, business development etc.
- Strong commitment to the welfare of children and communities
- Integrity, sound judgment, and independence
- Previous board experience is an added advantage

Term and Commitment
Board members will serve a term of 4 years, renewable once, and are expected to attend quarterly meetings and actively participate in committee work.
