Role Summary:
This role will involve writing 3-4 in-depth articles on topics related to nonprofit marketing each week. Our target is that this role requires ~20 hours per week, although there is room to expand this if the candidate is producing excellent quality work.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Researching and writing 1,500+ word blog posts on nonprofit marketing topics. We expect posts should take 5-6 hours to fully write.
- We will provide a list of image assets that you can use to provide visuals for the blog post.
- Each post will have “bonus content” associated with it, such as a downloadable checklist for putting the post into action. You will be responsible for determining what the most valuable bonus content might be and creating it.
- Our goal is that these posts will rank well in organic search, and will provide feedback on SEO optimization.
Qualifications, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- Comfortable with technology, including competence with computers, Google Docs, Google Sheets, website structure, and the willingness to go outside of your comfort zone to learn more.
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent grasp of the English language, including spelling of words, rules of composition, and proper grammar.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management skills and an environment that supports working remotely.
- Ability to meet quality standards.
- Ability to receive constructive criticism and feedback on your work and a constant willingness to improve.
- Ability to stay organized, juggle multiple priorities, and complete tasks quickly and accurately.
- Strong need for attention to detail and the ability to proofread your own work quickly and accurately.
