Job Summary
Reporting to the Butchery Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for cutting and trimming different types of meat.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the butchery is clean and tidy at all times
- Cut and trim meat
- Prepare special cuts of meat as ordered by customers
- Rotate meat products and maintain proper storage temperatures to avoid spoilage
- Maintain accurate records of meat
- Clean, sanitise, and maintain all processing equipment
- Comply with all instructions from the manager/supervisor and perform any other duties as required
- Adhere to safety regulations when operating machinery

- Self-driven, with the ability to set personal quality standards

- Customer care skills
- Strong hygiene practices
Qualifications and Experience
- COSC or a certificate in Administration or any relevant qualification
- 1–2 years’ experience in a retail environment will be an added advantage
