The Authority is seeking applications from qualified, competent and highly
motivated applicants to fill one managerial position of Billing and Valuation Services Manager. This position is based in Maseru. The position requires good spoken and written Sesotho and English. Billing and Valuation Services Manager (1 position)
Job Scope: Responsible for
overseeing and conducting of all LAA land
valuation activities; and, management of a Billing and Valuation Services
Department
Key Result Areas:
Valuation and billing tasks performed in a timely and competent
manner Valuation and billing database up-to-date and accurate, and
information
available on demand
Valuation procedures developed and adherence adequately monitored
Effective supervision of valuation services staff
Other LAA valuation staff adequately trained to enable them to perform to the required standard
Qualifications/Knowledge:
Degree in land or property valuation or similar discipline
Working knowledge of the Lesotho property market and its dynamics
Skills:
Ability to analyse
comparable sales, replacement values, income
capitalisation, rentals and related
matters
Computer skills, especially in the use of office productivity software
Ability to analyse data contained in a database, e.g. Microsoft Access
Ability to adapt to new approaches and software
Experience:
At least five (5) years’ experience as a professional property valuer, including two (2) years continuous employment in this capacity immediately prior to making application for this job, and at least two (2) years in a senior supervisory or management position
