EW Technologies (EWT) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced backend software developer/engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in server-side programming, database management, and API development, with a solid understanding of backend architecture, security best practices, and cloud technologies.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable backend systems to support modern applications. This includes developing RESTful APIs, building data and image processing services, designing content delivery networks (CDNs), and modeling database systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Server-Side Development
- Develop server-side logic to handle frontend requests, database communication, and application business logic.
- API Development
- Create secure and efficient API endpoints and manage request handling.
- Database Administration and Management
- Select appropriate SQL or NoSQL databases and Object Relational Mappers (ORMs) to optimize performance and ensure data security.
- Performance Optimization
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks such as slow queries, poor code quality, and high latency.
- Integration of Third-Party Services
- Integrate applications with external services including payment gateways, cloud platforms, and authentication systems.
- Testing
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end test scripts to ensure system reliability.
- Bug Fixing
- Troubleshoot and resolve application bugs.
- Documentation
- Maintain system specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate at least five (5) years of experience in:
- Backend development using microservices and distributed event-driven architectures
- Programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Node.js
- Frameworks like Django, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, Spring Boot
- Containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Frontend development
- CI/CD pipelines
- Advanced design principles such as Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Working with databases and caching systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Designing and publishing APIs
- Strong problem-solving, time management, communication, and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Minimum: B-Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Preferred: Postgraduate qualifications in a related field with relevant experience
